Jack Metzner (4C) and Laurin Brändel (4A) won first place at the Regio-
Challenge IT competition, which took place at the Westsächsische
Hochschule Zwickau on 12 April.
The Regio Challenge is a new IT competition in the form of an escape
room using the Calliope Mini microcomputer. Around 40 students from
grades 3 to 12 from all types of schools in the Zwickau region were invited
to prove their IT knowledge and skills. They had to solve tricky tasks in teams with their peers.
The two boys represented IGS Glauchau and were awarded first place and
Calliope Minis. They had a lot of fun learning programming in and out of
school. They aspire to become excellent programmers who can take on
malicious hackers.
