An apple a day keeps the doctor away

Following a long-standing tradition at IGS Glauchau, all fourth-graders gathered again this school year to plant a tree that will always remind them of their primary school days. This time we were able to beautify a green area opposite the school with our tree - an apple tree.

After learning some interesting facts about apples (every German eats around 20 kg of apples a year!), we were allowed to dig a large hole ourselves. The tree was then planted with help, then dug in and watered.

To top it all off, everyone was given an apple and a fruit bar to enjoy.

Now we are looking forward to returning to our elementary school at some point and seeing our apple tree grow.
