More Highlights of our festive week

At the Open Day on Wednesday, 13.9.23, former pupils and former colleagues in particular took the opportunity to see how our school has developed over the last 20 years. It was a day full of emotions, memories and good conversations.

On Thursday of the festival week, the children were able to dress up under the motto "Carnival of the Animals". They started the day with a "hangover breakfast" in their classes. Well-fed, a magic show followed in the course of the day. Things disappeared and reappeared somewhere else, playing cards flew through the gym like airplanes and there were lots of balloon animals.

The highlight of the celebrations was the festive concert on Thursday afternoon. The choir and particularly talented pupils performed a varied program of singing, dancing, sketches and acrobatics in the sold-out Stadttheater Glauchau - a firework display of entertainment. We would like to thank Ms Weber, Ms Helbig and Ms Hartmann, who organized this unforgettable concert with numerous "special effects", as well as all the dedicated parents who actively supported us. The former fourth graders also took part in the program and were released from their current schools for the dress rehearsal. A big thank you for that too!

On Friday, our students enjoyed a day off. The entire staff of the IGS went on an excursion to Dresden in perfect weather - a wonderful end to this eventful and eventful week.
