Back-to-school celebrations

On August 3, 2024, the eagerly awaited first day of school celebrations took place at Glauchau International Primary School. Full of anticipation and excitement, the first-graders started their primary school years.

The celebrations were opened by the principal, Mrs. B. Teichmann, with a warm welcome. Afterwards, the children of the choir delighted all those present with a short play and a musical interlude, bringing a smile to their faces.

A highlight of the celebrations was the welcoming of the new first graders. The children's excited faces and the proud looks on their parents' faces made this moment particularly moving.

The new schoolchildren then went briefly to their classrooms. In the meantime, the parents formed a trellis outside, through which the children ran to the tables with the sugar cones. After the first graders had released their balloons, they all received their long-awaited sugar cones. A class photo followed and then the ABC pupils ran into their parents' arms with very happy faces.

The 2024 back-to-school celebrations were a successful start to the new school year. They gave the new pupils a warm welcome and created a welcoming and cheerful atmosphere for the start of their time at school.

A big thank you goes to the children of the choir who came to the school for rehearsals and celebrations during the vacations, to the organization team, all the teachers and educators for preparing and carrying out these special events.
