Last school year, the GTA Gartenfreunde decided to take part in the "Kids an die Knolle" campaign. Planting, mounding, watering, caring for and, of course, harvesting potatoes were on the agenda.
Now she has been rewarded with a very special prize. On 18.10.23, a double-decker bus with the inscription "Coole Knolle" was parked at our school. From morning to afternoon, the bus driver and cook, Michael Weise, cooked various potato dishes with 75 children from our school in several rounds.
At the end, each child was given a rucksack filled with potatoes, a lunch box and a recipe booklet to take home.
A big thank you to the fantastic chef, Friweika, which supports the project, and the gardening enthusiasts, whose creativity and ideas made this great project possible for our school.
