A three-day children's day project marked the end of our celebratory year to mark the twentieth anniversary of the IGS. Together with the Federwolf company, the children explored the themes of fairy tales and life in the Middle Ages. They tried their hand at old crafts such as felting, paper making, bread baking and rune grinding. At the herbalism workshop, they made their own tea and of course also tasted it. There was a lot to learn about the development of letterpress printing. Writing with feathers was particularly impressive. Many children were amazed at how great it is to write with glass nibs. They were allowed to move freely around the stations in their fairytale costumes on Friday. Face painting, craft activities, movement games and snack stalls also made children's eyes light up.
