On March 3, 2023 the funny parrot Adacus visited the first classes of our school. He helped us to repeat and consolidate the rules of the road in a playful way. Mrs. Müller from the ADAC set up a traffic course in the after-school room with real traffic lights and intersections. The children were allowed to practice in different roles as vehicles or pedestrians what is important for safe behavior. An exciting project on a (life)important topic. We would like to thank the ADAC for the child-friendly implementation.

Road safety
On 3 March Mrs. Müller of the ADAC visited our school. She talked about road safety with our first graders. Mrs. Müller showed us pictures of situations that can happen as a pedestrian. The children talked about the situations and if the pedestrians acted right or wrong. She showed the children how to behave and to be cautious in traffic. Mrs. Müller created a traffic situation with two traffic lights and a street. The kids were either a car / motorcycle or a pedestrian and had to act out different traffic scenerios. This way they could practise road safety.
