Many children at IGS Glauchau were certainly wondering whether the last week before the fall vacations should have been called the late summer project week instead of the fall project week. Over the course of the almost hot but beautiful five days in September, the pupils worked with their classmates in interdisciplinary lessons on selected topics for each class level.
On 18.10.23, a double-decker bus with the inscription "Coole Knolle" was parked at our school. From morning to afternoon, the bus driver and cook, Michael Weise, cooked various potato dishes with 75 children from our school in several batches.
The children from class 3a of the IGS took part in a great hands-on tour to find out how a library works and what you can discover there.
At the Open Day on Wednesday, 13.9.23, former pupils and former colleagues in particular took the opportunity to see how our school has developed over the last 20 years. It was a day full of emotions, memories and good conversations.
No celebration is complete without something like this and as we were celebrating our school's anniversary for a whole week, we had a whole Halli-Galli day. What a hustle and bustle it was!
On Monday, 11.09.2023, the week of celebrations to mark our 20th anniversary kicked off at 10.00 a.m. with a festive opening event.
