DLRG and school
Every 2 years, the German Lifesaving Society awards the "DLRG and School" sponsorship prize. This award is intended to honor schools that are particularly committed to swimming education.

Reading Day
Since 2004, the nationwide Reading Aloud Day, a joint initiative of DIE ZEIT, Stiftung Lesen and Deutsche Bahn Stiftung, has been Germany's largest reading aloud festival and a public signal to get children and adults excited about the importance of reading aloud every year on the third Friday in November.
Children read to children
As part of this year's reading aloud day, six children from the 4th grade went to the Sunny Kids kindergarten in Gesau to read exciting as well as funny stories in three different groups.
Sports Festival
On June 12th 2022 we celebrated or annual Sportsday at IGS Glauchau. All kids from grade one to grade four were able to participate in three exciting competitions like Ballthrowing and Longjumping.
